Variety

I have been recording a variety of music for well over a decade. I have recorded rock both modern and pop-rock. Also, I've recorded folk music, Christian worship teams, rap/hip-hop, voice-overs, radio advertisments , and contemporary pop. I want to continue to open up new possibilities with choral ensembles, jazz and band groups, and anything that comes my way.  My advice to artists who would like to record their music is to practice, know the form of the songs, know your sounds and effects, and come with a positive attitude and the project will turn out amazing.  KCS can help out in a variety of ways.  Perhaps you are a solo artist and play the acoustic guitar but would like to create a project with a full band sound...that is no problem.  I can help add all the other instruments like drums, electric guitars, bass, and keys.  Maybe you want to record a live show...I can also help with that.  We can overdub and track vocals and instruments during post-production.  If you have any questions about what you would like, please give a call or send an email and I would love to answer your questions. 

Background

I graduated from Minnesota State University, Moorhead (MSU while I was attending). I have a BA in music and I studied audio production. I have been working with live sound reinforcement for over 15 years and have been recording for over 13 years. Shortly after graduating my wife and I moved to Nashville, Tennessee. We were there for four years. We had a blast living there and I met many great musicians and saw the music business in action.  In 2004, we moved back to the midwest and in 2011, we moved to Naples, FL.  So we went from one weather extreme (ND) to another weather extreme (FL), but we love Southwest Florida.  I have helped with live sound training, including stage setup, EQing, and running FOH.  I have worked with live-recordings and retracking to studio recordings where we only start with the basic form of a song.  I have a well-rounded base of experience and I look forward to working on your project.
